The Code Charity Mission

Code Charity aims to connect volunteer developers with people needing technical assistance. Combining donated time and expertise with below market rate pricing, Code Charity is able to provide a service to both end-clients and charities.

We do not take in money directly.

Most good developers code for fun in addition to coding for work. While developing a website or configuring a server seem easy, that is because developers live and breathe these tasks. For most people, these tasks are complex and intimidating, requiring skills. Rare skills. Valuable skills.

Many small businesses can’t afford to hire a developer. Taking time to find one for an individual task is a long process with an expensive bill at the end. Code Charity pairs volunteer developers with individuals or businesses needing development work. Since the work is volunteer based, project costs can be substantially lower. All we ask is that you donate what you feel is appropriate for the project. You will be donating directly to a charity. Code Charity does not take money directly.
